Standards
Editorial Policy
Our readers make real decisions with what we publish, from sizing a cable to understanding a new law. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.
Accuracy and sources
- We research from primary sources wherever possible: standards, codes, official publications, manufacturer documentation and peer-reviewed or institutional research.
- Articles that rely on specific facts, figures or events list their main sources at the end, with links.
- We separate established facts from claims, estimates and projections, and we say who made a claim.
- Numbers in calculations are checked, and every calculator shows its formula and working.
Testing and experience
We never say we tested, measured or used something unless we actually did. When a review or comparison involves hands-on testing, the article explains what was tested and how. When it is based on specifications and documentation, it says so.
Review before publication
Every article is reviewed by Himanshu Amdavadi before it is published. The review checks facts, figures, formulas and worked examples against the relevant standards and sources, and makes sure each rule is tied to the country or code it comes from. The date in the “Reviewed by” line at the top of an article shows when it was last checked. We publish at a pace that allows every article to be reviewed properly, and we don’t publish pages made only to attract search traffic.
Updates and dates
Articles show their publication date. We add an “Updated” date only when the content has changed in a meaningful way, such as a new code edition, corrected figures or new information. We don’t change dates to make old content look new.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly. For significant errors we add a note at the end of the article that explains what changed. To report a possible error, email admin@engiloop.com with the page address and the details.
World and current affairs
The World section explains developments calmly: what happened, why it matters and what changes next. On political subjects we stay neutral. We report documented facts, attribute claims to the people who made them, and we do not endorse candidates or parties, rank political choices or predict election results.
Independence and advertising
Our recommendations are our own. We do not accept payment for coverage. If EngiLoop ever publishes sponsored content or uses affiliate links, they will be clearly labeled on the page.
Authors
EngiLoop articles are written or edited, and always reviewed, by its creator, Himanshu Amdavadi, who is responsible for what we publish and for corrections. If other writers contribute, their name and relevant background will appear on their articles. Read more about the editor.
